Our passionate and highly experienced Nursery team have created a holistic curriculum based on the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and Development Matters.

 We offer a play based and active pedagogy in the large, well equipped indoor environment as well as the outdoor areas which includes a Nursery nature garden, climbing activities and physical play space. Each day the children will experience child initiated learning where they make choices, follow their own interests and become curious and inquisitive learners. Children also enjoy daily (adult led) small group and whole class learning sessions.

Communication and language development are vital in Nursery and as part of this we promote a love of story, reading, talking, collaboration and singing. Cosy reading areas and inviting places to interact are provided inside and out.

Parents are valued as the first educators of their children and we work closely with families to achieve the best start and outcomes for our pupils. Your child’s learning journey will be shared with you through a combination of informal chats and planned meetings as well as a learning journal.
