Year 1 learnt lots of new skills and knowledge about making motifs. We learnt about the different weather types and season changes over time. 

First we experimented, creating shades, tones and marks with sketching pencils. Then we explored line and shape to make simple motifs. The children loved creating simple weather patterns. Some children added many complex details to their patterns.
